In most cases, the pointed corks can also be used for higher-proof spirits. In these cases, however, preliminary tests must be carried out by the bottler themselves. Sealing other contents can only be recommended after prior testing for compatibility. Please note that the corks are not original closures. According to the Prepackaged Goods Regulation, further measures to ensure originality (capsule, banderole, etc.) must be taken. The corks should be stored clean, dry, and odorless at room temperature. When sealing, please ensure that the bottle mouth is as dry as possible. The corks must be placed straight on and pressed straight into the bottles. If the corks are tilted, they may break off or the cap may come loose. The sealed bottles should be stored upright at temperatures between +2 and +30 °C. The barrel-shaped cork has a diameter of 20 mm at its thickest point. A standard wine bottle usually has an opening diameter of 18-19 mm. This makes the cork ideal for sealing, as it can be pressed slightly into the bottle for a secure fit and the cork is slightly compressed.
