Module A focuses on personal encounters in the business world. In this module you’ll take part in a case study about onboarding new colleagues. Topics and main language include welcoming and onboarding new colleagues, feedback, buddy systems, support structures, adapted communication, simplified instructions and unwritten rules, with personal/formal language, recommendations, report writing, questions, plain English, inclusive language and softeners. Module B focuses on day-to-day business. In this module you’ll take part in a case study on international visits and business travel. Topics and main language include hosting visitors, planning itineraries, company structure, roles, organigrams, persuasive presenting, first impressions, introductions, tours and visitor communication, with persuasive language, titles, departments, responsibility verbs, linking phrases and spoken/written structures. Module C focuses on business results. In this module, you’ll take part in a case study dealing with budgets and finance. Topics and main language include budgeting, costs, proposals, relocation packages, support discussions, payment terms, finance negotiations and reaching agreement, with budget and finance terminology, polite negotiation language, proposal phrases, synonym use, payment terms and compromise language.
