Fantasy Literature

Fantasy literature, often derided as superficial and escapist, is one of the most popular and enduring genres of fiction worldwide. It is also--perhaps surprisingly--thought-provoking, structurally complex, and relevant to contemporary society, as the essays in this volume attest.
