AI for Young Learners

Support young learners in understanding AI concepts - with and without technology - so they can safely and responsibly navigate a world increasingly driven by AI and emerging technology. Students in early childhood programs and elementary schools are often exposed to technology but need support in learning how to use it safely and effectively. At the same time, many tools available to older students are not appropriate for young learners due in part to laws and regulations, including the Children‘s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). While concerns about technology use by children are understandable, young learners must gain knowledge about how artificial intelligence (AI) works, so they‘re prepared to interact online and begin learning how to use technology responsibly.
